The usual way

The password goes over WhatsApp.

At filing time most small businesses send their accountant the login. It works. It is also the worst option available.

What you actually handed over

That is your login.

The same one that can edit an invoice, delete a customer or change a bank detail. Afterwards nothing can tell your CA's actions apart from yours — as far as the software is concerned, there was only ever one person.

The part nobody does

You cannot take it back quietly.

Revoking a shared password means changing it, which locks out your own sessions and everyone else you gave it to. So in practice nobody revokes it, and the access outlives the engagement by years.

What to ask for instead

Separate. Read-only. Revocable.

Your CA signs in as themselves. They can see the books and cannot change them. One client's data, not everything. And you can end it on your own, without touching your password.

In BizGST Pro

Send a code, not a password.

Your accountant opens an ordinary free account. You generate a CA access code in Settings and send that instead. They enter it and your books appear, read-only. One code links one client.

Ending it

Regenerate the code.

The old one stops working, the link drops, and your own password never changes. That is the test for any tool — not whether access can be granted, but whether you can withdraw it yourself in under a minute.
