The question worth asking
Most owners treat reconciliation as a year-end job for the accountant. It answers something you care about every month: is there money that moved and never reached my books?

Why they never agree
Your books record what you entered. The bank records what happened. A customer paid and nobody told you. A charge went out unannounced. A cheque was written Monday and cleared Thursday. None of that is an error.
The real error
A payment received but not recorded sits in that customer's outstanding balance for months — until somebody chases a customer who has already paid.
You do not need a bank feed
A live bank connection in India needs a paid Account-Aggregator licence, and most small-business software does not have one. Every bank's net banking exports date, description and amount. That is all this needs.
Matching
A payment you recorded and a credit on the statement for the same amount a day apart are the same event. The pairing needs a little slack on date and amount — stricter and you clear everything by hand, looser and it starts pairing things that are not the same event.
The whole point
Credits with nothing behind them are money you never recorded. Debits with nothing behind them are charges and forgotten expenses. Entries with nothing on the statement were never actually banked. A month with none of these is a month you can close.
