Some bills are not a decision

Same customer. Same amount. Forever.

Rent on a shop you sublet, an AMC, a monthly retainer. Typing those is not work. Forgetting one is expensive.

Why it gets missed

Never in a normal month.

It gets missed in the month you were travelling, or the month the return was due. And a missed recurring invoice is silent — the customer will not remind you, and it is not an unpaid bill, because it was never raised.

What a rule must copy

More than the amount.

An invoice is not one number. It carries the customer's state, whether the supply is interstate, the tax split that follows, and every line with its own description, HSN, quantity and rate.

The part people get wrong

Keep the gap, not the date.

If the original gave fifteen days to pay, every repeat should give fifteen days from its own date — not land on whichever day of the month the first one happened to fall on.

In BizGST Pro

Raise one. Repeat it.

Turn an invoice into a rule — weekly, monthly or quarterly — and a daily job raises the ones that come due: own number in the year's series, today's date, every line copied, unpaid, linked back to the original. On the Basic plan and above, not on Free.

Before you switch it on

Check the template properly.

A recurring rule is a machine for repeating something, including a mistake. A wrong HSN or the wrong place of supply will be reproduced faithfully every month — and because the invoices look identical, nobody reads them.
